Gatsby is a beautiful example of the breed, with blue flecks in both of his eyes. He has an outstanding pedigree, lovely structure and beautiful markings.  

However, due to the asinine disqualification of blue eyes in the pomeranian standard, he will not be able to obtain his championship. 

I hope that one day the American Pomeranian Club puts for the effort to understand the merle gene, and it's complete randomness, and modifies the DQ to allow for blue in eyes in visual merles.

Gatsby will remain a cherished part of my home, and possibly one day my program.
